So I just took the plunge and ordered the Diva bundle of Diva, Diva Extended, and Diva By Design :D

The Diva singers sound like nothing else on earth, so I figured with Christmas and all, it was time to pay-to-play (Francis, have I just upped my KvR discount for saying all these nice things  )

Seriously though, I can still hear the Diva girls' stunning voices in my head from the demos.

And the bundle comes out at half the price of a decent choir.

All I need now is a commission from someone who needs a classy vocal soundtrack, and it'll be perfect :D

(Mmm ... I wonder what Diva sounds like through Antares Filter   ... just maybe)

Then winter 2004 he will be releasing the Garritan
GPO choir library 8)

BTW FYI here is a GPO/Diva user demo by Alan Lastufka and Daniel Moy ........

http://www.alanjoseph.com/WidowOfWar.mp3
This song is the result of an online collaboration between myself and Daniel Moy. I composed the score using the GARRITAN PERSONAL ORCHESTRA exclusively, then sent my score to Daniel and asked him to sprinkle in a little DIVA-BY-DESIGN magic! (I have DIVA I just haven't had the time to master it as Daniel has.)

We went back and forth taking turns on the mixing and mastering and have come up with the completed track above, "Widow Of War".

Again, the only libraries used were GPO & DIVA-BY-DESIGN...

Enjoy,

Hello NS!

I just wanted to take a moment to share my initial experiences with the DIVA sample library, produced by Francis Belardino (www.beladmedia.com). I'm making extensive use of it in a game soundtrack I'm working on (Freeworld Online MMORPG) and I am really enthusiastic about the great work he's done on this library.

DIVA is a haunting, rich, and colorful set of samples. It really adds a mystical quality to a composition, and it works well in any level of a mix. I've used it to carry a solo line as well as a subordinate backup to soprano sections in other choir libraries. It blends very well with VOTA and other choral sets.

I'm really anxious for DIVA Extended, an add-on that will really flesh out and "extend" the possibilities with this great library. For those of you who haven't checked out DIVA yet, you can hear it in action in the Freeworld Online score.

Tracks 2,3, 19, and 20 currently have DIVA in some form in them. More DIVA will show up in future tracks for this game.

Congrats, Francis, on a great library. I'm really looking forward to your upcoming choral libraries.

"Frank will be releasing Voices of faith in January"

We hope! December is a really nuts O time for the choir and Rebecca Siler (Talent Director for Bela D)

They have one concert after another.
All the material is ready. I have a killer engineer booked for the session. We are talking Nuemanns 10 feet in the air in a huge church!!

So, hang in there and wish me luck.

After this comes Voci Concerto Choir Collection.
A Bela D Media/Garritan release.

Oh yeah! :o

Kevvvvv, congratulations!!! Diva is an awesome library indeed!

I have to say, most of what makes it excellent (besides the great programming) is that the actual voices of the singers are imo very beautiful.

Might be worth a trip out east to actually hear them perform.

Keep up the good work, Frank!

:D

Thank you very much for the kind words.

Voci = "Voices" in Italian :)

Voci is NOT far off. I cannot say more and I wish I could but it is not a back burner project. Expect it very soon after Voices of Faith.

Happy Holidays

oh... oh... Frank, can I tell 'em about VOCI, PLEASE!

You guys, this is going to be the coolest (and largest) choir lib that I'm aware of...

I got the insider info on the game plan for VOCI and all I can say is WOW, you guys are going to love it! It is definetly going to leave all those *other* choir libs in the dust...

Can't wait Frank/Dawn/Becca!
