Soloing doesnt work right when the output channels are set to external outs

I sum with analog summing boxes and I route audio out externally. Usually when I would solo a track with this method id also have to manually solo the return audio track from the sum but in bitwig it doesn't solo even the channel i'm trying to solo. It doesnt mute the other tracks at all. I press S and I still hear exactly the same thing.
