In the meantime, here's my confused understanding, and a simple example setup which I'm experimenting with. Ok. So, I have Satin as an effect on four sends, with each Satin instance belonging to an individual group - Kick (Group 1), Snare (Group 2), Cymbals (Group 3) and Rimshot (Group 4). I know that I can also have other sends with Satin and on each of these sends, have Satin set to use a particular Group (e.g. I could have X number of sends assigned to the same Group), but I omitted doing that as I wanted to keep the setup simple.
On my master out, I also have another instance of Satin which has No Group and Bypass Tape configured. It was my understanding that I could remote control each Group from the master instance; e.g. I could select (Group 4) Rimshot on master, and configure a delay on it, then select Group 1 (Kick) and reduce the ips and so on. This way I would only have one instance to manage all the other Group settings.
Instead, when I select a Group on master, that Groups configuration is applied to master... which was fine, as I was able to change Group settings temporarily, but when I reverted Satin on master back to No Group, those settings I made to the previously activated Group were no longer being applied to any other sends that also had that Group enabled! Methinks I've got this backwards... any words of advice? I'm pretty sure I'm missing something here and I'd love an example from anyone out there who has used Satin in Studio mode
