Is there any difference between Wonky and Future Bass?

As the title says. Or is it suddenly called Future Bass instead of Wonky because the "future" term suddenly got so popular? Feels like everyone are overusing it at the moment.

Not sure about the question itself but I agree, the term "future" is ridiculous. Future garage, future house... Seriously, stop it. I'm saying this as a person who thinks witch house is a fine name for certain darkwave music.

Actually Future Garage is from past year 2005 so it has nothing to do with the others. Next up was Future House which has a different story why it's called that (the name has nothing to do with Future Garage so it's no intended name ripoff).
I'm fine with Future Garage as well as Future House... but Future Wobble, Future Bass, Future RnB, Future Trap and Future Progressive and so on? Yeah this is getting ridiculous!
So I suppose that Future Bass is just a "fresher and cooler" name on the Wonky-genre? Or is there any difference?

I gave up caring about sub-genre names back when jungle became drum n bass and IDM became glitch and the millions of trance offshoots popped up.
Wonky? Never even heard that term before.
