Hi Jo,
I was playin around a bit with the Multisampla in Reaper and found something strange...:
If using the Multisampla device, everything is fine... processor usage on my machine about 0.3%...
If using the multisampla module in a polysynth to built a custom sampler the processor usage adds with every played note without releasing ... I ended up with the same multisample at about 1.8%, which were hold until I deleted the VSTi instance...
Attached a simple test file, which behaves that way I described...
Perhaps you can have look at this...

Hi Trancit,
I gave a quick look at your patch ,missing a main envelope.
I corrected and attached your patch.

Edit says there is a big change since I played around with this lately... found it
Jo, when did you put this into the menu????

I'm sorry if I have not explained,
in the moular area I set the amplifier envelope to main envelope.
http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mux/polysynth.html
"The Main Envelope can be set by right-clicking an envelope and choosing "Set As Main Envelope".
If no Main Envelope is set then chance is high that voices will take much longer to finish (depending on the patch) resulting in much more cpu usage than necessary."
Edit:OK,happy that you solved

That option is there from the start
Wish i could leave that option out though, but did not yet find a better way.
Feel free to make suggestions.

Don´t know, but something this important (even I didn´t noticed this before) should perhaps have a checkbox on the main device panelmutools wrote:That option is there from the start

Second: I am pretty sure, I never set this option but if I have a look at my older i.e. Silencio patches, there is always one envelope set as main envelope...
Was there something automatic magic before or did you edit my patches (prior V6)???

Absolutely agreeTrancit wrote:Best example that you never complete trainingbibz1st wrote: Old dog...new tricks
wrt Main Envelope, if using the Polysynth Module I think that the Amp Envelope is set already so there would be no need to do it manually or indeed worry about it.

Yeah, that´s possible that I built Silencio from a Polysynth were it was already set...bibz1st wrote: wrt Main Envelope, if using the Polysynth Module I think that the Amp Envelope is set already so there would be no need to do it manually or indeed worry about it.
