I'm using Melda for everything now but haven't dialed in my mastering workflow.
Previously, I used linear EQ into a multiband compressor topped off with a bit of mutiband saturation and then a limiter from different developers. Pretty much, that's what I've done with Melda but I still haven't gone deep enough with these specific Melda tools to feel as comfortable yet.

Good question. I'd be interested too. So far I'm using Melda plugins when mixing, not for mastering.

Some good examples could be helpful. Mastering with pure Melda is a new thing for me, too.mevla wrote: Tue Oct 06, 2020 9:19 pm Good question. I'd be interested too. So far I'm using Melda plugins when mixing, not for mastering.

Using one MAutoDynamicEQ for mids, one for side, the MLimiterMB and the MAnalyzer on my mastering chain. So over 50% in my mastering chain is a Melda goodie. (-;

No. Because for the small clean/neutral corrections I have other tools that more fit my workflow. And because another part of mastering is adding character/giving it a touch, I'd use plugins that introduce this.

I do not know if Chandler is into mastering. However, this might be a wish that could be addressed to him.

MDynamicEQ and/or MAutoDynamicEQ sits on every master chain. Perfect for tweaking, cleaning, cutting and boosting.
I have no experience with MSpectralDynamics, which is i hear even better suited for mastering. If anyone knows a good tutorial for it, please share that too.

MFreeformAnalogEq
MAutoDynamicEQ
MEqualizerLP
MSpectralDynamics
MStereoProcessor
MDynamicsMB
MLimiterMB
MDynamics
MSaturatorMB
MDistortionMB
MUltraMaximizer
MAnalyzer
I admit that I don't have the perfect mastering ears, for me comparing is essential.
But I don'tknow why I need other plugins than Melda.

I personally just us MFreeformEqualizer to match frequency spectrum to the comparison material, potentially MAutoDynamicEq for some manual adjustments, then MTurboComp for some master compression, then say MLimiterX / MLimiterMB as a limiter, and finally MCompare is vital obviously.

Once mix revolution comes out I think it will be easier if all the modules are able to fit together?

It will be a screen with a single button: "Mix". And it will all be done.Underoath77 wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 11:14 pm Once mix revolution comes out I think it will be easier if all the modules are able to fit together?MeldaProduction wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 1:11 pm I personally just us MFreeformEqualizer to match frequency spectrum to the comparison material, potentially MAutoDynamicEq for some manual adjustments, then MTurboComp for some master compression, then say MLimiterX / MLimiterMB as a limiter, and finally MCompare is vital obviously.
