Will scripting with Melda ever be a thing?

We have alot of talented coders and people that could definitely get deeper and make more complex colossal creations, if they were able to script.
Any chance this could be a thing in the next few years? Something like Blue Cats PlugNscript?
As always thanks V.

At some point perhaps. I wish there was time for that...

+1, I would also like to have scripting available in the Meldaverse. Given the complexity of the stuff as well as the object-oriented nature of plugin development which gives a lot of structure, this seems like a logical step.

I thought so, too. Or Python.

LuaJit would be cool like in Protoplug.
I've recently built a AmplitudeShaper based on Catmull-Rom splines with it... that was a fun exercise.

I would never get music done if Melda integrated scripting. +1.

Reaper JSFX is your best bet for developing audio processing plugins. If Melda could load VSTs this would likely be the best path but that starts getting a little recursive. I do wish MDrummer could load VSTs, as it is, I have to do separate outs to get the processing I want, which is well supported by most (all) DAWs.
