Looking for a Free Parametric EQ Vst

Hello,

I am getting back into vsts, now for live performance use Gig Performer (GP).

GP does not seem to include an equalizer (maybe i missed it).

So, I am looking for a relatively simple, low cpu, free parametric equalizer. (The first thing I want to try it on is to brighten some horn parts in NI Session Horns).

I have Sonar Home Studio (now Cakewalk) and always tended to use the Sonitus effects, which I was happy with.

Actually, if I could, maybe I would copy and past them into may laptop for use in Gig Performer. No sure if I can do that (and I think I would spend more time than just downloading a new one).

Thanks for any help.

Jeff

When asking for plugin recommendations please use a question mark in the thread title. So:

Free Parametric EQ VST ?

Otherwise the thread title makes it look like someone is releasing a free EQ. Just a bit of common forum courtesy. :tu:

Done (slightly different form). I think I remember your forum name from 15 years ago (or so) when I used to be more active on kvr(?).

If so, I hope all is well! (Or, even if not, I still hope all is well. Hah!).

Cool! That works perfectly. Lets people know that you're looking and not releasing. :tu:

Thanks, I was here 15 years ago too. All is well here. Hope you are doing well too. :)

Thanks.

I guess I am leaning toward the Reaper suite. In one shot, it should satisfy my effects needs.

Also, my understanding is Reaper plug-ins have a reputation of being good in terms of CPU. (I probably do not want a mastering plug-in. Probably overkill and more likely to use more cpu.)

(Feel free to comment).

Our reasons for not including plugins are explained near the bottom of this blog article
