Haha exactly.
For what it's worth though, a combination of a Boss OC-3 plus a Submarine Pickup would work really well for a lot of players. They're amazing pickups and the company is ace to deal with and lightning fast to deliver.
I opted for the ALT though because I play mostly downtuned metal punk rock type stuff and the bass channel really needs low note priority (that works better than in the Boss OC-5 which is dog shit).
Just thought I'd mention it here in case it's useful to anyone reading - Submarine Pickups are a fantastic alternative.
