MCompare Stuck "Listening"?

Hi, sometimes I can't get MCompare to Generate Source, it only allows to click "listening" from the drop down. This is in spite of having playback engaged and a healthy signal level. Does anyone know why this is? I tried in a fresh project and even the factory default preset but still nothing. Reaper 7.07, Windows 11, Melda 16.10. Thanks.

this is known issue, see thread: viewtopic.php?t=604270 . Will be fixed in next release this week.

My problem with MCompare is, when I click on a track I want to compare, MCompare jumps out of the selected track by itself. Sometimes immediately, sometimes after a while. This happens in Version16.10 and 16.9.
