Occasional Clicks & Pops

I'm using Synthmaster 2.9.16 VST3 in FL Studio 21.2.3. My audio hardware is a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. The audio sample rate is set to 44.1kHz, and the buffer is 512. None of my other synths cause clicks or pops, even in a fairly complex multi-layered sequence. But right now I'm running Synthmaster by itself in FL, and there are occasional clicks. Not often, but enough to be noticed.

All I'm doing is playing MIDI keys -- no fancy automation or anything.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Are there things I might change that might prevent it?

I had similar problems to you, I turned off Background Audio in settings and the noise stopped.

I'm not seeing anything like that in Settings.
