Any chance we get sth like Sonible Smart EQ:4? (Mix Revolution?)

I'm not talking about the EQ itself - Melda has excellent ones - but about the possibility to create and control groups of instances in one UI.
Just checked some Vids about sonibles smart stuff and I have to say I like their approach: having multiple EQs in one view, create hierarchies, switch the instance in focus in order to control it's parameters, etc.
I personally would rather have this quality of live features than new whatever MTurboXYZ ...
Btw: You can extend that group idea to Dynamics Processing. Think about "Smart Limiters/Clippers" which allow you to group instruments in "Rhythm Defining" versus "Accompanying" and let the Clipper shelf of loudness peak outliers far more aggressive for the "Accompanying" group. Think again about having all the parameters of all instances in a single view.

I have Smart EQ4 and I only use it if a guitar tone just doesn't feel right. The guitar preset in smart EQ4 sometimes gets it right. Anytime I used it on drums I don't like it. Smart plugins are a hype that prevent you from becoming a better mixer.
You will never learn how to use a compressor until you experiment with Attack/Release -time, Ratio etc. for countless hours and on countless tracks of all variaties.
That being said the "smart ops" Feature in TDR EQs can help to get a new perspective sometimes.
And Sonnox Claro inverse EQ feature can be useful, if two sources totally clash with each other.

Understand your point about the "smart" in terms of "plugin decides settings for you". I would not want giving decisions out of my hand as well.AGIGA wrote: Wed Jan 21, 2026 12:04 am I have Smart EQ4 and I only use it if a guitar tone just doesn't feel right. But I was talking more about the "can control parameters of multiple instances in a very convenient way" ...

You are right, this feature would be useful. F.e. if there are stacks of background vocals and every single channel needs EQ and compression. I would be great if it would be possible to change the parameters of groups of Melda plugins all at once.
In Pro Tools it's possible to link parameters of any plugin which is a great feature. Any DAW should offer this.

I requested this feature for MXXX in 2022 and got a "maybe". viewtopic.php?p=8560494

It's sad to see Melda is losing ground, competitors catching up and obertaking.Held wrote: Wed Jan 21, 2026 5:18 pmAGIGA wrote: Wed Jan 21, 2026 12:02 pm You are right, this feature would be useful. My observation is that there's no focus. Too many similar Plugins that should be consolidated, more focus on really innovative stuff. The difference between all EQs should be feature flags which are activated by a license rather than n different plugins ... I mention this because it's sometimes hard to read this "won't happen, no capacity" replies and then soon after see yet another plugin which us basically a eq, saruration, distortion combo under the hood pop up.
And look, the technological groundworks of inter-plugin communication is already there with MMultiAnalyzer, though it only adresses the "view multiple input sources" part. It's there since years. A logical next step would have been to add the control part ...
But I get from what you wrote heldt, that this is again a "won't happen". Means I go and do the sonible trial and if it serves the purpose pull the trigger on the next sale ...
