@ T2 users: rendering of 'sped up' clips working properly?

T2 users: if you have the chance, could you confirm that this bug has been fixed in t2?

Image

to recreate it..
*get a bunch of cleanish non distorted audio clips (drum sounds work well)and place them on a track.
*pitch them up to similar values as in the image (not timestretch, just using the 'speed' slider)
*listen to how they sound playing back to familiarise yourself with the sound
*render the track theyre on
*play back the render and see if you can hear a difference
*check the waveforms

in t1 the waveforms end up clipped. The higher the pitch adjustment of the audio clip, the more extreme the clipping of that audio is after rendering.

I'd be grateful if anyone can shed light on whether this has been fixed in t2 (ideally from someone who can recreate the problem in t1 too, just to be sure :) )

just tested it, same results :( (I'll send it off!)

what about making a sticky thread here as a semi-formal bug report list?, in the same way/spirit that the FR list works (new bug reports posted in threads starting with BR).. like the ext forum does it also.

agree...but jules doesn't love us anymore
he doesn't look no more at FR and BR 8) :P

Post

:) well.. at least it will mean we dont have to write any bug report more than once.

Post

and it means that if he DOES look, it's all there in one place.

i'll get on it i suppose :)

actually, i don't think it's necessary - the beta testers have a nice official way of logging bugs and things, so there's no point in us having a list other than to check if it's been mentioned or not; any that are logged with the big boys will probably be ironed out soon enough for us to not need to look anyway.

:hihi: we hope!
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Post

true: but then it would be handy if we could also see that list.. to be sure whether or not what we're about to pester one of the testers to log hasn't already been noted :).. or to be sure the bug we reported a year ago hasn't slipped through the net (for example ;))

if there was a publicly viewable list it would save time and needless posts (another step towards improving the signal/noise ratio at this forum).

just to back hayd(noE)n up and to reiterate / clarify ...

... a group of betatesters here have (thanks to modulr) a private forum at his site where we can cross reference bugs and bash out workarounds / solutions ...

... any bugs reported here are checked by one of us which then results in a thread at our forum where one or more others of us confirm (or otherwise) the bug / issue ... once this has been done the bug is 'officially' reported to mackie / RMS ...

... seems to be a good system so far ...

Except that we don't get to see that list, so peoples have no way of knowing if their bug report has been posted before or not.
Take for instance the FR sticky, all of my own personal FR are on that list, so before posting any of them I went trough the list and saw that I didn't have to bugger the forum with them.

thats what we're all talking about..

if there was a public list i could have checked i would have noticed that this bug i reported wasn't on the list.. so i'd have reported it again until it was added.. to be sure it would get attention.

Post

i ment fixed!!!

thease postes dont fix the bugs,

unless i missed somthing?

:)

Post

yes you're missing something ;)

imo the system could be better becuase one big (known) bug already slipped through.
