Does anyone have any tips how to install Unsupported plugs with a Mac as the front end to Receptor? I'm trying to get Spectrasonics Atmosphere to work. I have two obstacles, 1) the Atmosphere.dll file for a windows install and 2) getting the .dat file onto the Receptor drive thru ethernet.
1) I tried to do an install with Virtual PC. I had a bit of trouble finding the .dll file since it was hidden. I did wind up getting that in the unsupported plugins folder.
2) Is there any kind of trick to get around the problem of transferring files larger than 3 gig from Mac to PC thru ethernet?
Also did anyone get Mach Five to work with a similar setup ( Mac as front end)?
Any help would be appreciated.

If you are running Mac OSX, you can transfer large files via Samba.
In the Finder choose Go>Connect to Server... (command-K) and in the "Server Address" field type:
smb://MyReceptor
where "MyReceptor" is the name of your Receptor. By default the name is "Receptor-12345" the number is different for each Receptor.
BTW, I am surprised at how many people keep the original name. I strongly recommend changing the name to something you can remember easily.

I should also point out that Mac owners can download the Windows DLLs for Stylus Classic, Atmosphere and Trilogy from the Spectrasonics website so you don't need to install the Windows version at all.
