Can I install StylusRMX without a host software on my pc?

I have a Receptor. I would like to buy StylusRMX but I do not have any host program (Cubase, Fruity Loops or Logic) in my pc.
I wonder if it will work just the same... will I be able to install or not?

It will work great! You will have to install Stylus RMX on your PC first (you don't need to authorize it on your PC though) and then follow the instructions found here to get it on your Receptor.

can the same stylus purchase be authorized to work on the pc and receptor or is there a crossgrade fee?

There is no cross-grade involved, so you use the Receptor authorization as one of your standard Spectrasonic's auths.
