ReContour

ReContour is a versatile distortion and tone shaper used to dramatically change the tone and dynamic of audio. It can be used in all the ways you might use a compressor or waveshaper.

Compressor or Waveshaper?

This plugin lives neatly in between being a compressor and a waveshaper. While it gives you precise control over the transfer function used for altering the wave shape, it also has attack, release, and smoothing characteristics.

Control the Spectrum Band

You can easily limit what portion of the spectrum will be altered by the effect, so you can add tone or change the dynamics of just the kicks, for example, or add a high end sizzle.

Morph Between Compression Curves

This effect has 2 banks for the transfer function, and a morph knob to let you move between them. Adding a bit of automation to the morph, you can also create a dynamics curve that evolves with the music in all sorts of ways.

Main features:

• Intuitively Shape – Shape the compression just by drawing and adjusting the curve.
• Fine-Tune – Like a compressor, you can change how long the attack and release times are. You can also drive the signal harder to change how it's compressed, and adjust how much changes are smoothed.
• Detailed Metrics – The compression graph shows exactly what ReContour is doing to the signal over time. You can hover over it during playback to get specific values, or click and hold to freeze it at a specific time.
• Compatibility – ReContour can be hosted as a VST3, AU, or AAX.
