VST Live 3 is a dedicated live performance system designed to centralize the control of audio, video, and lighting for stage productions. It functions as a master hub for playback tracks, virtual instruments, lyrics, and DMX lighting, allowing engineers and performers to synchronize these elements within a single timeline. The software enables the automation of complex cues, ensuring that backing tracks, lighting changes, and instrument patches trigger in sync with the performance.

This version introduces a Video Director module for managing real-time and playback video sources, along with a direct connection to OBS for automated multi-camera streaming. To improve on-stage workflows, the software includes a dedicated Monitor Mixer for handling individual performer feeds (IEMs or wedges) and distinct lyric/chord tracks that allow different band members to view only the information relevant to their part. VST Live 3 also implements "Shared Modules," allowing plugin instances to be reused across multiple songs to manage CPU load effectively.
