Dystopian Waves has released Watcher, a Windows VST3 plugin designed to continuously capture audio and MIDI while you work.
Watcher runs in the background and records incoming audio and MIDI to a circular buffer, allowing users to review and recover performances, improvisations, sound design sessions, and other creative ideas that might otherwise be lost.
Key features include:
- Continuous audio and MIDI recording.
- Adjustable circular buffer from 1 to 60 minutes.
- Audio waveform and MIDI visualization.
- Instant playback of recorded material.
- Drag-and-drop export directly into the DAW.
- Automatic silence trimming during export.
- Good Take markers for organizing recorded content.
- Optional background disk recording for long-term capture.
Watcher is suitable for music production, composition, rehearsal, performance, and sound design workflows where capturing ideas quickly is important.
