Dystopian Waves has released Chromaphase, a free Max for Live chorus device designed to provide both classic modulation tones and more experimental textures within a visual and intuitive interface.
It features a 16 voice chorus engine with controls for rate, depth, delay, detune, tap offset/gain. The FX section adds tools like frequency shifting, saturation, filtering, wow/flutter, and feedback shaping.
The device's visual design provides responsive feedback for each parameter, with dynamic color changes and an animated central display that reflects chorus activity. Interactive zooming on knobs and double-click reset functionality make it easy to dial in and reset settings precisely.
Chromaphase is compatible with Ableton Live 11.3.0 or later.
