Dystopian Waves has released Evorn, a Max for Live device that provides evolving, drawable modulation for Ableton Live.
Evorn features five independent LFOs, each with eight mapping slots and dedicated controls. Users can draw custom waveforms, generate shapes with one click, or choose from more than 80 included presets. Waveforms can be inverted, stretched, smoothed, or warped, and custom shapes can be saved for later use.
A sequencing engine lets users step between a start and end shape or select waveforms randomly for variation. Multiple playback modes—Free Run, Palindrome, One-Shot Trigger, and Sidechain—allow the device to adapt to different workflows.
