ePipes releases The Fred Morrison Sound - Bagpipe


ePipes has announced the release of The Fred Morrison Sound, a complete virtual bagpipe system in the form of a VST instrument plug-in for Windows. It has been developed with world renowned, gold medalist, multi-award-winning piper; Fred Morrison, and the Centre for Music Technology at The University of Glasgow, Scotland. Each stage of the production was personally overseen by Fred, working along-side former Thomas Oberheim engineer, William Evans. The Fred Morrison Sound claims to deliver an authentic virtual bagpipe from the world's leading piper and the home of piping.

The Fred Morrison SoundFeatures:

  • Play Highland Pipes, Border Pipes, Scottish Small Pipes and Uillieann Pipes.
  • Transpose to any key over a two octave range.
  • Built in reverb.

  • Long drone samples provide phasing and variation that define the real sound of the pipes while remaining perfectly in tune.
  • Adjustable chanter mellow. Choose your sound: piercing and rousing or sweet and mellifluous.

The Fred Morrison Sound is available for Windows as a VST instrument plug-in priced at £70 (+VAT). It is currently available to buy as boxed product with a download version coming soon.
