FMJ-Software has updated Awave Audio to version 10.5. The latest edition of the Audio file format batch converter features much improved resampling speed and it's now also faster at handling uncompressed formats.
Changes:
- The resampling speed is much improved - changing the sample rate is now up to 9x faster than before.
- Conversions are now often faster for the case when no audio processing is needed (i.e. no resampling, etc.), and the input and output file use identical data and channel formats. This is due to support for a new "Direct Stream Copy" path in the underlying AwC++ library (NB; this is currently only available for uncompressed data formats).
- Reading & writing Monkeys Audio files (.APE) now requires MACDLL.dll (included in the codec pack).
- Updated the codec add-on pack (now v1.7) with the latest versions of various external DLLs.
