ModeAudio has released Smokestack - Industrial Ambient Loops, an 864MB selection of royalty-free music loops and MIDI files suited to producers of Ambient, Soundtrack, Techno and Downtempo.
At the core of the collection lies 150 tempo-synchronised music loops, encompassing shape-shifting atonal drones, rumbling sub bass, fraying layers of noise and frenzied washes of granular synthesis, all underpinned by a set of abrasive, heavy-duty drum loops.
Completing the pack are 60 tail samples and 45 tempo-labelled drum MIDI patterns, allowing producers to pair the rhythms heard in the drum loops folder with their own choice of samples and sounds.
