Samplesphere releases Quatro Bass Designer, Warlord, QED Vintage Beatbox, BDi, Stylophonic, TAO series and TAO Percussion for Windows VST

Samplesphere has released several new VST instrument and effect plug-ins for Windows: Quatro Bass Designer, Warlord, QED Vintage Beatbox, BDi, Stylophonic, TAO series and TAO Percussion.


Quatro Bass Designer (£30.00) is bass instrument which can combine up to four separate basses from a selection of electric bass guitar and synth basses, each with its own controls and effects rack.

Basses:

  • Fingered.
  • Picked.
  • Muted.
  • Slapped.
  • 39 Synth Basses.

Features:

  • MIDI channel and audio output options for each bass.
  • Separate bend range for each bass.
  • Solo and Mute for each bass.
  • MIDI Learn and full automation for all controls.
  • 128 Presets.
  • Need to know information is accessed via the (i) button on the interface.

Effects:

  • Filter - Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass and Band Reject.
  • Distortion.
  • Chorus.
  • Delay - Host tempo aligned. Ping-pong or straight, depending on left and right length settings.
  • A separate stereo Quatro Effects Rack unit is included.

Warlord (£35.00) provides machine gun, helicopter, explosion, and fire sounds.

Features:

  • MIDI learn and full automation for all controls.

Machine guns:

  • 20 named guns.
  • Separate controls for each gun.
  • Low and High pass filters for each gun.
  • Separate volume and duration control for each gun's spent shell ejection.
  • MIDI channel and output options for each gun.
  • Information for each gun is accessed via the "INFO" button.

Explosion:

  • 4 separate explosions.
  • Separate controls for each explosion.
  • Separate filters, volume and duration control for the blast and debris elements of each explosion.
  • MIDI channel and output options for each explosion.
  • Information for each explosion is accessed via the "INFO" button.

Fire:

  • 4 separate fires. (2 wood and 2 synthetic).
  • Separate controls for each fire.
  • Separate filters, volume and release control for each fire's flame and crackle.
  • MIDI channel and output options for each fire.
  • Information for each fire is accessed via the "INFO" button.

Helicopter:

  • Separate filters and controls for each sequence.
  • MIDI channel and output options for each sequence.
  • Information for each sequence is accessed via the "INFO" button.

Helicopter sequences include:

  • Approach-land-idle-take off.
  • Approach-land-idle-stop.
  • Idle.
  • Idle-take off.
  • Start up-idle-take off.
  • Fly over.

QED Vintage Beatbox (£30.00) is comprised of emulated kits of vintage drum machines.

Features:

  • 1,313 individual kit pieces.
  • 131 kits.
  • Two channels each for bass drum and snare, (A and B).
  • Solo option to audition A - B bass drums and snares.
  • Independent filters, delay and reverb for each instrument channel.
    • Delay - host tempo aligned. Ping-pong or straight, depending on left/right length settings.
    • Filter - Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass and Band Reject.
  • Output options - instrument or master out.
  • MIDI learn and full automation.

BDi (£28.00) is a multiple output bass drum instrument. It can combine four separate bass drums.

Features:

  • 200 different drums.
  • MIDI channel and audio output options.
  • Separate effects for each drum:
  • Reverb.
  • Filter - Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass and Band Reject.
  • Delay - host tempo aligned. Ping-pong or straight, depending on left and right settings.

Stylophonic, only available as a free addition to a BDi purchase, is an instrument based on the 1960s/70s "pocket organ". As with the original, Stylophonic has vibrato and a range of just over one and a half octaves running from A1 to E3.

TAO series (£10.00 each; £30.00 complete set) is a set of three Chinese instruments.

Instruments:

  • ErHu - bowed string.
  • GuZheng - plucked string.
  • Sanxian - plucked string.

Features (All have these features except Erhu, which has no Octave option):

TAO Percussion, only available as part of a complete set purchase, is a small set of Chinese percussive instruments.

  • Jiangzhou Dagu - drum.

  • Bangzi and Muyu - wooden percussion.
  • Bells.

Features:

  • Output options master or instrument out - 9 outputs in total.
