Slate Digital has announced the release of its Virtual Mix Rack (VMR) modules as individual, standalone plugins called 'Virtual Modules'.
The decision to offer these modules as standalone plugins is a direct response to longstanding user feedback and usage data. While the Virtual Mix Rack provides powerful channel strip functionality, many customers have expressed a desire for the flexibility and convenience of using a single plugin.
Producers and engineers can now utilize their favorite Slate Digital processors directly within their digital audio workstation (DAW) without the need for the VMR rack, for instance seeing "FG-Stress" or "VCC" directly in the insert list, immediately reflecting the intended processing at a glance.
The Virtual Modules retain all the features and functionality of their VMR counterparts, including oversampling and external sidechaining for dynamic processors. Furthermore, with a continuous scaling option and the ability to seamlessly share presets between both versions, users can get the best of both worlds.
