Steinberg updates Cubase to 7.0.1 (pre-release), HALion Sonic SE to 1.6.3 and sonote beat re:edit to 1.0.1

Steinberg has announced that the Cubase 7.0.1 / Cubase Artist 7.0.1 pre-release update is now available for download. This pre-release* update resolves almost 40 issues present in the initial 7.0 version, and also adds some nice improvements. For detailed information please view the version history (PDF).

Steinberg has also issued maintenance updates for its VST instruments sonote beat re:edit and HALion Sonic SE.

The HALion Sonic SE 1.6.3 update improves the compatibility of Steinberg's HALion powered instruments Dark Planet, Hypnotic Dance, Triebwerk and Neo Soul Keys in Cubase 5 and Cubase 6.

The 1.0.1 update for sonote beat re:edit fixes some minor issues and is recommended for all users of sonote beat re:edit.

* Please note that pre-release updates are an immediate response to issues reported by customers. In order to make these improvements available as soon as possible, these updates don't pass through Steinberg's entire quality assurance process. Although the internal preliminary testing indicates that the updates are stable and reliable, technical support cannot be granted. The next fully supported maintenance updates will include the improvements along with others.
