Stone Voices releases Retro Radio for Windows and macOS (VST2, VST3 & AU)

Stone Voices has announced the release of Retro Radio, a free plug-in that can simulate the sound of old AM radios with all the nuances, including noise, crackle, rattle, and Morse code inherent in this type of radio reception. As well as amplitude-frequency distortions and parasitic modulations, it is possible to emulate the acoustics of various models, from stationary to pocket radios.

The plugin's design is stylized like a tube radio receiver, where the so-called "magic eye" is used as a level indicator - an imitation of the 6E5C cathodoluminescent lamp, which was widely used in various radios in the good old days.

Requirements:

  • Windows 7+.
  • MacOS 10.12+.
  • DAW with support for VST/VST3/AU plugins.

Retro Radio is free / donationware and is now available for Windows and macOS in VST2, VST3 and AU plugin formats.
