The Very Loud Indeed Co. releases Omnisphere Cobalt
The Very Loud Indeed Co. has released Omnisphere Cobalt, a collection of 120 brand new cinematic patches for Spectrasonics' Omnisphere 2 synthesizer.
Omnisphere Cobalt is a collection of 120 cinematic patches for Spectrasonics' Omnisphere 2.8 synthesizer. It includes 188 exclusive sound sources which have been recorded and designed specifically for this soundset. It only uses these new sound sources and does not recycle the stock ones in Omnisphere or any other set.
Instead of using recordings of real instruments or objects, we designed a large number of sounds using a variety of synthesizers. Then we recorded those sounds, ran them through a crazy array of weird processors, and finally we used them as raw sources in Omnisphere. The result is a collection of patches that sound organic but have a non-organic origin, which gives them a very unique character.
Cobalt is much less grimy than our recent soundsets, with a slight retro flavour. It's a great set for scoring tension and action scenes.
Omnisphere Cobalt is compatible with Spectrasonics' Omnisphere 2.8 and later. The sound set requires 378 MB of disk space.
