Based on the core widening technology of JMG Sound's DarkFire, UnitedPlugins have just released WideFire, a plugin they say offers a unique approach to stereo enhancement.
Unlike traditional wideners, WideFire leverages a sophisticated harmonic separation technique, creating a natural and immersive soundstage.
Similar to DarkFire, WideFire is an analogue-style saturator plugin. After saturating your signal, the added harmonics are detached, a widening algorithm is applied to them, and then they are blended back with the original audio signal. This method results in a significantly cleaner and more spacious stereo field compared to conventional techniques, which often introduce phase issues or artefacts.
WideFire is good for vocals, guitars, synths, and any audio source needing a wider presence.
WideFire also excels at converting mono recordings into stereo. It's an essential tool for producers and engineers seeking to enhance their mixes with a natural, expansive sound.
Pricing & Availability - Free For 10 Days
The regular price of WideFire is €29 but it is free until 19th of March. Afterwards, the price will rise to €9 for a while.
However, WideFire will always be free for any DarkFire user.
