Aurora DSP has announced the release of Kobraa, a plugin inspired by a legendary German high-gain amplifier, known for its crushing tone and clarity.
Designed for guitarists who seek aggressive, mix-ready distortion, Kobraa delivers the raw power and versatility of its hardware counterpart.
A key feature is its channel and voicing system. The amp features three channels, each with two selectable voicings: 'Toxic (Clean), ' 'Lethal (Crunch), ' and 'Fatal (Lead).' The 'Toxic' clean channel is engineered for clarity and shimmering highs, while the 'Lethal' crunch channel provides a tight, dynamic response for aggressive rhythm playing. The 'Fatal' lead channel offers extreme gain and sustain, designed to ensure lead parts remain prominent in the mix.
