8-Bit Synths 4: Spectrum is the fourth and final release in the four-part 8-Bit Synths series, presenting a broad collection of NES-style sample instruments designed to showcase the full expressive range of the original sound chip. This pack explores both classic and unconventional territory, reaching into the outer limits of what NES-based synthesis could achieve. Spectrum features a wide variety of leads and stabs shaped with distinctive transients, exaggerated vibratos and chorusing, and expressive pitch and volume movements, offering some of the most inventive and character-rich sounds in the series.

The list below describes the instrument categories included in this pack, along with the total number of instruments in each. All four 8-Bit Synths packs share the same categories, but each pack features its own unique instruments and sound variations:

• Lead Single (65) – sustained single-channel instruments.

• Lead Combo (102) – sustained multi-channel instruments (combining two or more channels for chorused, octave, and interval sounds).

• Stab Single (68) – one-shot single-channel instruments.

• Stab Combo (77) – one-shot multi-channel instruments.

• Triangle Bass (13) – instruments using only the triangle channel, commonly used for bass lines.

• Fundamental (4) – the four foundational waveforms of the original NES sound chip: Square, Pulse Width 1, Pulse Width 2, and Triangle (these instruments appear in all four 8-Bit Synths packs).
