Alpine Volksmusik 2 is the independent sequel to the popular Alpine Volksmusik Library, offering 42 unique patches for folk and brass music. The library covers all the instruments you need for authentic productions of Swiss Folk Music, Austrian Stubenmusik and German Marching Music.

All instruments were carefully recorded and feature multiple articulations, accessible via keyswitches for authentic performance behavior. The interface makes it easy to shape and customize each sound. Alongside standard controls like volume, pan, and reverb, each instrument and patch includes dedicated parameters.

Alpine Volksmusik 2 can be used in many ways. Are you a singer or instrumental soloist arranging your own pieces? Do you need half-playbacks for live performances? Or additional layers for studio recordings? Or pre-productions for guest musicians? With Alpine Volksmusik 2, you can do all this and more with ease - directly in your DAW, in high quality and fully tailored to your workflow.

The Instruments

Swiss

Swiss instrumentation is represented by two Schwyzerörgeli, the Swiss version of the diatonic accordion. A five-course Appenzell dulcimer, an Alphorn ensemble, and a bowed double bass complete the typical Swiss sound.

  • Contrabass Swiss | Dulcimer Appenzeller | Nussbaumer Oergeli.

Austria

Austria offers a collection of instruments for Stubenmusik, one of the most traditional forms of alpine folk music. Instruments such as zither, guitar, harp, and plucked double bass form the foundation. This group also includes Styrian harmonicas (Steirische), accordion, ocarina, and recorder. The "Schuhplattler" add a rustic atmosphere with clapping and stomping.

If you are missing the three-voiced chromatic dulcimer by Salzburg musician Tobi Reiser, this instrument is part of the original library "Alpine Volksmusik 1".

Included Instruments:

  • Accordion Austria | Alpine Plattler | Contrabass | Harp | Jew's Harp.
  • Ocarina | Recorder | Rhythm Guitar | Steirische Pix | Steirische Vintage.
  • Steirische Reed 8' | Steirische Reed 8'8' | Steirische Reed 8'8'+ | Steirische Reed 8'8'8'.
  • Steirische Reed 8'8'8'+ | Zither.

German

German folk music is represented through marching band sounds. Woodwind and brass instruments such as clarinet, trumpet, flugelhorn, tenor horn, and tuba are included in solo and ensemble versions. Drum and percussion instruments provide a wide range of articulations.

Included Instruments:

  • Bb Tuba | Bb Tubas | Clarinet Ensemble | Clarinet | Clarinets | Cornet.
  • Flugelhorn | Flugelhorns | Flute | Flutes | Glockenspiel | Piccolo Flute.
  • Percussion | Tenorhorn | Tenorhorns | Trombone | Trumpet | Waldhorn.
