Dual F

Dual F (V0040) is a stripped-down stereo or dual-mono, low-to-medium gain version of Classic F, and is for Windows. Dual F uses less CPU than Classic F, and it has zero software latency options. The tonestack is an approximation of the one in Classic F. There are options for Left, Right, Stereo, and Swap inputs plus Mono and Stereo Outputs. In a stereo track, one can process, for example, Left input and yet produce Stereo output, two different signals. One can also process a Stereo (Swap) input but output two identical copies of the processed Left (Right) input.

This amp sim the same dynamic, asymmetric grid-conduction distortion modelling as Classic Thirty and Tiny F, with a number of user-adjustable parameters for each tube stage. It has a two-stage preamp but can produce quite a bit of distortion if desired, both pre-amp distortion and power amp distortion.

This amp sim has provisions for stacking two or more in a single track to model a higher-gain amp, in particular special cabs for the first amp that act as bandpass filters to shape the sound, optional output filters also for shaping the sound, and the possibility of shutting off both the power amp and the cabs in the first amp sim for direct input into the second amp sim without any sound shaping. Use of two amp sims also allows for insertion of third-party or other EXE Consulting effects plugins in-between the amp sims so as to create a send-receive type of setup.

Dual F includes both guitar and bass guitar amp sim capability.

The GUI is resizable: Tiny, Small, Medium, Normal, Large, and Giant.

No stomps or rack effects are included at this time.
