Freqtube FT1-EMU

FreqTube FT1-EMU is a tube saturation and harmonics plugin from Freqport, built on a SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) reference model derived from the company's FreqTube FT1 hardware unit. Rather than using impulse responses or transfer function approximations, the plugin models the FT1 circuit at the component level to reproduce tube saturation, harmonic distortion, and dynamic behaviour in software.

The plugin uses a dual-tube architecture with independently switchable E83CC and 12AT7 models. Tone-shaping tools include dual WET and DRY filter sets (each with Freq, Q, and Gain), four filter types (low-pass, high-pass, peaking, bandpass) at 12 dB/Oct or 24 dB/Oct, a Drive control, a proprietary Harmonics parameter with auto-gain compensation, an Analog Mix control for blending primary and parallel paths, and a 180-degree phase Invert. A Tilt control adjusts the balance between the two tube paths.

When the physical FreqTube FT1 hardware is connected, an onscreen Analog toggle switches the plugin from software emulation to real analogue tube processing — retaining all session settings and automation.
