High-gain tones is what I've been into my whole life. With TONEX, I captured the amps from my collection, the amps I've used on recording sessions, and my live rigs from the past 15 years to my most recent ones. A Career Forged in Metal
Gus G. conquered the global stages as Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist from 2009 to 2017, contributing to the album "Scream" (2010). As the founder of the melodic power metal band Firewind, he boasts two decades of success, ten studio albums and countless tours. A celebrated solo guitarist, Gus has released acclaimed albums like "I Am the Fire" (2014) and "Brand New Revolution" (2015), with his latest release "Quantum Leap" (2021).

The Gus G. Tone Asylum showcases seven amps and six pedals from Gus's collection - each meticulously dialed in to match his precise live and studio specifications. This collection offers the ultimate arsenal for metal tones, featuring searing lead sounds based on his favorite amps, such as the Blackstar HT5 Metaland Blackstar St. James 6L6, as well as the powerful gain of his Blackstar Series 200 Blackfire signature amp. Several classic metal amps based on legendary models - the ENGL Powerball, 5150 III, MESA Engineering TRIPLE RECTIFIER, Marshall JCM 2000 TSL60 and Marshall JCM 800 - are also included. They are all fine-tuned for articulation, speed and power.

Pedal to the Metal
Gus G. uses a range of overdrive and distortion pedals to shape his signature sound. For this collection, he carefully captured his favorites as individual stomps to use with real or modeled amps and in front of his main amps to create complex captures that enhance attack, saturation and sustain. Six pedals are featured based on a J. Rockett Archer, Speed Demon by Gus G, BBE Green Screamer Signature, BOSS SD-1, Blackstar Dept. 10 and a custom-built pedal by Crazy Tube Circuits.

From Studio to Stage
Gus G. Tone Asylum can be browsed and purchased via ToneNET, IK's online tone-sharing and social platform, or within any TONEX Mac/PC version, including the free TONEX CS. After purchase, it becomes activated inside TONEX software by selecting "Restore Purchases" in the Account panel. It instantly downloads all collection Tone Models to the user's local library, ready to play. From there, users can load their favorite Tone Models to TONEX ONE and TONEX Pedal and play live through the new TONEX Cab.
