KAGE PEAK COMP

KG PEAK COMP is a compressor plugin designed to control peak levels of audio signals quickly and accurately. Peak compression responds more sensitively to instantaneous signal peaks than typical RMS-based compression, demonstrating excellent performance in suppressing excessive peaks and securing stable headroom. This plugin consists of core parameters that allow intuitive control of input signal dynamics. The 'INPUT' knob adjusts the level of the signal entering the compressor circuit to finely tune the point where compression begins, while 'THRESHOLD' determines the reference level at which compression starts and 'RATIO' determines the compression ratio. In particular, the 'ATTACK' and 'RELEASE' controls allow precise setting of the speed at which the compressor responds to transients occurring over extremely short periods of time, making it advantageous for maintaining or emphasizing the contours of instantaneous sounds such as drums or percussion. Levels reduced by compression can be compensated through 'MAKEUP' gain, and ultimately, accurate final levels can be set through the 'OUTPUT' knob to maintain mix consistency.
