Sinus Plus Virtual Organ V1.0.

This is not another Hammond B3 Simulation. This is just a new Virtual Organ with all the stuff you need to fall in love with this instrument. This is my latest project and ABSOLUTELY FREE. It sounds brilliant and can give the right Organ Sound in almost every kind of music. The Clean Sine Oscs for 2 Manuals and Bass Pedals, the 9 Percussion Oscs with the 9 "Standard" Harmonics, the Key Noise, the Vibrato/Chorus Effect, the Reverb, the excellent Rotary Speaker Clone called "CHORUS/TREMOLO" an More Settings will help you to create the Organ Sound you want.

This organ is brilliant!!.

Even though many may not like the sound, this concept serves a market that has been completely overlooked by all other manufacturers: the solo entertainers. While all companies are only trying to simulate the legendary Hammond B3, there are hardly any emulations for the 'Euro-Organ-Sound' similar to e.g. a Wersi Organ. To recreate this sound, you need a drawbar set for percussion, and that's exactly what this VST has. So, it's an absolutely successful approach.

Here are a few suggestions for improvement to make a good product even better:

  1. The biggest drawback is the 32-bit version. Although I have jBridge, a 64-bit version would be essential.
  2. When I pull the 2' Percussion drawbar and play full chords, the sound cuts out or distorts.
  3. A "Decay" control in the pedal doesn't make much sense. The attack crackles, and the sound doesn't sustain. An "Attack" and "Release" control would be more useful here.
  4. It would be great if you could optionally switch the Key Click on and off separately in the Upper and Lower manuals.
  5. An optimal feature would also be a setting that routes the percussion through "Chorus / Tremolo" and / or vibrato or allows it to sound "dry" (which I prefer). In this context, separate audio outputs for Upper Manual, Percussion, Lower Manual, and Bass, each without any effects, would also be a great feature.
  6. Another request would be additional 4/5' and 2/3' drawbars for the Upper Manual and Percussion.

If there is an update planned, I look forward to it. This is truly a fantastic idea that has been implemented here. Great work.

Too bad it's 32-bits... c'mon it's 2023... I know it can be expensive to buy the soft...

Broken link.

but in 2024 who would use a 32-bit VST in their 64-bit DAW? You need a patch to make the DAW think that it is a 64-bit vst. The problem is a Cubase states in their manual 32-bit vsts cause lots of problems hence they now filter out 32-bit.

plugins such as Jack, JBridge, and VSTHost which is free. Some you need to pay for. Why not convert the software to 64-bit. Surely there has to be a piece of software that converts 32-bit plugins to 54 plugins. Would make things simpler. The DAW should come with them as standard.

Since I originally wrote my review Steinberg retired VST2 so even a 64-bit VST2 would no longer be supported by Cubase as they now only support VST3. Most providers supplied VST3 compliant plugins last year.
