  • Amp Envelope with 2 attacks.

Chris went and dun it again. When I heard he was making a string modeler, I was a little underwhelmed. I already have all the free SMs out there and was already planning on buying Harptime. But this is SO much more than a string modeler. For one, it has kick-ass modulation capabilities, kind of like the matrices on his monosynths, Rez and Texture, but much more fun. With it, I've created expressive, moving sounds, from pads to leads to comping sounds. As it has a full bank of 128 presets, a handful of which I made, you will have more fun with this synth than any other freebie out there. Be prepared to be shocked by the unique sound and variety of tones you can get from this thing. Have fun with the amazing and flexible arp feature. And the GUI kicks ass all over the place--so easy on the eyes and fun to look at. Can't wait for what's next. Thanks, Chris. ST is a stunning work of art and you should be proud of it.

I also got a virus from one of the plugins from the site.

Does s/he knowing do this or should someone tell him/her? I'm hoping that the developer is innocent.

vstcafe ?

Why do you talk about vstcafe ?

vstcafe is absolutely not Ugo's website .

His website is http://www.ugoaudio.com/ and it is safe and has always been safe !

Neither Ugo nor KvrAudio have to do with vstcafe ! And Ugo distributes himself his products .

Example : The webpage of String Theory is this one :

And at the upper right of the page you find the link to download String Theory. And the file to download is absolutely not in vstcafe... it is on his own website ! The URL of this link is this one :

When a software (whatever it is, musical or not) is provided by a developer on his own website one should NEVER try to go to download elsewhere !

I did not know about Ugo's site. Thank you for the information. I will not use vstcafe in future.

Also I was not trying to cause offence or attack anyone.

;) Don't worry, it has not at all been taken like that.

Usually here on KVR, on each plugin you have a link to the official developer website (as here "Developer Ugo") and a link to the product's page ("Product String Theory"). Those are usually updated quite often.
