Looper, Meet Sequencer

zenAud.io ALK2 is a cross between a sequencer and a looper. Like a traditional looper, clips are performed live and subsequently looped to create layers of sound. Like in a sequencer, the loops can be drawn, moved, copied, cut and pasted in a musical arrangement.

When it's time to perform the song, ALK will follow your arrangement, pressing the necessary virtual pedals to arm channels, trigger effects, and record and play loops at the right time.

zenAud.io ALK runs on macOS 10.10 (Yosemite) or higher, or Windows 8.1 (64-bit) or higher.

Key features include full VST/AU plugin hosting with support for audio and MIDI looping, along with built-in quantisation and beat repeat. Introducing an innovative approach to automation, where assignments themselves can be sequenced and alternated. ALK also provides the possibility of hover auditioning to ease production monitoring and to create a panic clip button. When activated, it plays a previously clean and recorded clip, allowing a graceful recovery and smooth performance continuity.
