Done right touch interface, handy even on 6" smartphone screen. Sequencer, sampler, PureData based synthesizer, a lot of FX with automation. More than enough for sketches and even more than that.

Despite already having several compressors, I've settled on this plugin. My primary use is compressing bass with sidechain from drums. Maybe it's just my personal but I haven't been able to achieve my desired result as quickly with any other plugin because the attack, hold, release and threshold work exactly as I expect and I don't have to spin all the knobs for 30 minutes to get the right bass pump. Additionally I like the large controls and ability to input precise values. Did not notice any saturation as well.

Good
- nice UI, it scales well on 4K monitor
- I love the idea with context UI on the left sidebar and the bottom one
- plugin rack, routing, sidechaining - all intuitive and well designed.
- good VST support, all linux plugins I tried are working.
- all my MIDI controllers are working out of the box.
Bad.
- Linux version is very buggy, there are clicks, noises, unresponsive UI during playback. I tried to change jack settings, buffers and so on but nothing helps. Even with included demo songs. No luck with internal audio and USB Behringer too. Crashes immediately if I choose ALSA.
- Full screen MIDI editor freezes while playing.
- Sometimes saved presets for plugins and rack are not loading back with "unknown error"
- Builtin plugins don't scale at all, they are almost unusable on 4K monitor (compressor, eq).
It makes no sense for me to do something more than a couple of tracks due to the instability of the product, it's a pity.
Read ReviewI don't really like MPC layout but in general Speedrum is really good drum sampler. I hear exactly what I'm expecting to hear because some other similar samplers produce sound which is a bit different from the original wavs. I love built-in compressor for the same reason - I'm getting the sound I need very quickly and I don't have to route Reaper's outs to separate compressor anymore. One of my reasons to buy it is the simple xml format for banks because I prefer to generate banks with script.
UI is perfectly scaling on 4K monitor, I had to get rid of some old VST because of HIDPI issues.
Support was very helpful with my questions about xml and MIDI mapping.
