I have absolutely nothing negative to say about anything developed by Analog Obsession. This plugin is really simple and easy to work with, yet it sounds amazing. It also has a beautiful UI, of coarse. Stuff like this could easily cost you hundreds of dollars, however this and everything else by this dev is free to download.

Rarely to ever reach for this thing eventhough it's not that bad I prefere LALA instead. Maybe skip it if you not need that.

Cleverly designed plugin in the typical, good AO quality.

Separateley adjustable and activatable (or deactivatable) eq- and / or saturation bands are an excellent idea and this concept also works well, after you have learned, how the plugin works.

The frequencies also are well selected. The results sound very natural. Also the blending option is an advantage.

The only things, I would like to see in maybe a future upgrade is a general on/off switch plustwo spearate zero-reset knobs for both the eq and the saturation sections, but as this plugin is freeware, this is complaining at a very high level.

Great idea and excellent realization.

I think, I can delete my other graphic eq and saturation plugins, this one does everything better, at least for me.

Neat saturator offering 3 opamps and 4 tubes. Feel free to push these. Great for generating subtle realistic saturation.

This is the best compressor ever made in software, in my opinion. Unfortunately it took me years to even become aware of Analog Obsession. When I think of all the times I could have used this compressor but didn't know it existed, it pains me. Alas, now I have it. I am so impressed with AO's plugins in general, I'm donating $10 per month to the cause, and that's coming from a guy who despises prescription plans. It's not that, of course. If I stop paying, the plugins continue to work. The point is, this developer deserves the support. There are at least a dozen plugins that I love from this developer. But this may be my absolute favorite. It is my desert island compressor now, defeating my beloved UAD LA-2, which I previously used all over the place. YALA is free. It is the best compressor for my taste. You'd be a fool not to download it.

It's a nice pultec emulation. works very well but the bells curves and the harmonic distortion is less pleasant of the paid counterparts. So if you're completely new to the pultec sound this is a good first foot in the door but if you like it an upgrade is necessary.

If you have logic you don't need this plugin since you have the vintage tube eq that does the same job and in my opinion, sounds a little bit better.

I really like this compressor. I don't think its sound is comparable to a vari-mu compressor but it's really good. I have logic and the built in compressor offers me a large variety of typology but one like this one is missing. I use it on single instruments with a high compression rate. in this way it gives me a rich sound with tons of harmonics and a nice warmth. Great on snares, long kicks and bass. Also very handy with lead synths with high resonance. Vocals? No, not for me. If you want a free levelling amplifier the adhd leveling tool is what you're looking for.

The only thing I don't like about it is the two screws to control release and threshold. I get it, you want the look but manage that screws it's a pain. I'm not totally against the look, I like to have a good looking pluging (but if it sounds good can be just boring controls and I'm happy). please AO leave the screws and put two knobs on the right, thank you.
