SF2 Player

Phenomenal stuff. Ableton has removed all sf2 soundfont support from ableton on apple silicon. The usual options people recommend like sforzando are extremely buggy, feel like abandonware or close to it. From what I tested this plugin is WAY more solid. I'd like to control ADSR but more than that I'm happy I can finally use my soundfonts in ableton again without worrying it will be a buggy mess the next time I open a project. Well done and I appreciate the clean interface.

Does one job (okay, two) and does it perfectly. I've been playing around with various air band boosters and this one sounds the cleanest to my ears. The best way I can describe it: a dehaze filter for audio.

Great Tool.

There's this trick to sample a impulse response of a plugin, reverse it and put it into a convolution device that is right after the plugin causing the phase none linearities. This will counter phase none linearities.

It would greatly help to have an "Export Inverted Impulse Response" Button directly in the plugin, i.e the analyser stage.

It could catch the impulse respone, cut it to the right size, invert it and make it available to be saved.

I'm a dialogue editor and re-recording mixer by trade.

This plugins closest kin is the Cedar DNS hardware or plugin. This gives you a real-time(zero latency), super low CPU noise suppressor, with a slightly eleveated feature set when compared to the DNS stuff. It's a clever multi-band gate one might be tempted to describe it.

I've used this, and its classic/free version on recording and mixing sessions. I had trains rumbling by outside the studio location. With a minute of setup, this can keep it out of your hair to a good degree.

All the AI stuff has extreme latency and extreme CPU requirements. If that's what you want, try Clarity Vx by Waves(with all the caveats that Waves offers). This is the opposite, yet it works really well. No copy protection. Works great on all systems.

Try the Classic/Free version first. Get comfortable with it, then upgrade to this.

I mean, hey, we mixed movies with noise suppression similar to this ever since the Cedar DNS 1000 showed up around the year 2000. This is great stuff and you can use it for free, with some additional features for the the low price of the Pro version.

Invaluable tool if you want to remove low-level noise from DI instrument recordings. I'm not smart enough to know what it's doing, but I assume it's a dynamic EQ targeted at particular hiss/hum frequencies. I think the pro version allows you to change the individual frequencies, but I find the ones in the free version adequately tuned for guitar and bass.

Without fail, Bertom's simple audio tools work extremely well. I had all of the other Freeware and decided to finally pay for this simple Vocal Comp, and it's a wonderful tool that will prove a hundred times worth what I paid. Clear, simple, good GUI, adjustable high-frequency-sensitivity, and it just sounds great. Check out all their other stuff and consider supporting them if you're able. Great stuff from Bertom as per usual.
