Is it possible to add an editable sequencer to a MSF device screen?

I have been obsessed with the Moog DFAM lately, and I've been wanting to create a MSF device that replicates the workflow of the DFAM without some of the limitations (MDFAM!). I have been diving into some of the available info on creating device screens in Melda plugins, but other than Chandler's video on FX sequencing in MXXX, I haven't found any info on creating sequencing screens in Melda plugins that have given me any further ideas.
Is it possible for me to create a step sequencer for the device screen that allows the user to edit the pitch and velocity values of each step? I know that you can edit those parameters in the Arp, but I would like to have that info accessible in the Device interface. Is there a way to retrigger envelopes without using the Arp?
Here is a photo of the signal flow for the DFAM and a rough idea of what the MSF interface sequencer would look like:

Could you use the Multiparameter display type "Bars" to achieve this?
Take a look at the instrument "Wobble Factory"
The bars are used there as a sort of step sequencer. You could do something similar to this?

But what parameters would you link to? IS there a Note Trigger function besides the Arp?

Good idea. Sorry I didn't fully read/understand you on first read.
I would also like to see this added?
It might already be possible, I'm not 100% sure it's not.
Vojtech?

"How to (CAN you?) Build a Step Sequencer in MSF", as I understand it.

Initially I looked at the wobble factory device to see if I could glean any insight, but it didn't. I will definitely use "bars" as the display type for the MDFAM, but as of right now I don't see anything I could map them to using the multi-parameters. I looked for workarounds and then thought, "OH! I could map a multiparameter to each step in the arp corresponding from 1-16." Unfortunately, not an option. Maybe a feature request? (The ability to map multiparameters to
Then I thought that I could just set up looping envelope generators with sync on, but I can't find anything in the documentation about looping envelopes! If this isn't already a feature, I want to officially request it here: I would like all envelopes to have a loop toggle. Maybe once that is implemented, all envelopes can become MSEGs with a selectable loop region (similar to U-he Zebra)? Anyway, now I'm on a tangent.
Given all that information, here is my question as clear as I can ask it:
Is there currently a way to create an arpeggiator/step in MSF—separate from the built-in arp—that allows the user of the EZ-screen preset to change the values of two parameters per-step for an arbitrary number of steps? In this case the two parameters are velocity and pitch, and the number of steps is 16.
Ideally, the user could change velocity and pitch to whatever parameters they wanted to edit per-step of the sequence: that would stay true to the modularity of the DFAM. Also, a side question: is it possible to edit frequency/pitch per-step un-quantized, similar to modular? Is this available with the built-in Arp?
Sorry, I hope that isn't too many questions at once!

This is actually exactly what I was thinking about doing, so thank you for testing that! The only issue, just like I figured, is that it is not re-triggering the envelope; so, it's not actually producing a sequence.jmg8 wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 9:12 amPaste this code into MSF.Code: Select all

Combine ith with the Arp?

For MSEGs I sync the LFO rate and use custom shape to draw in what I want the shape to be. The step pattern in the LFO also adds interesting ideas when sync'd.

You couldn't combine it with the arp. That sequencer depends on holding the global envelope long enough to cycle through all the steps. If you combined it with the arp, the global envelope would be constantly re-triggered and you could only edit values for the first step in the sequence.
