Sorry to jump back "on topic" -- heh heh -- but I have JUST NOW purchased (ordered) this VSTi.

Thanks to everyone at Kong Audio who have been so willing to explain and discuss this instrument/sample set. I'm sorry I missed the "discount" but then again, it is fine with me since I feel the main point holding me back from purchasing earlier was addressed!!! Great. :)

I will most CERTAINLY post back after I get it downloaded and have some time to play with it and the tutorial files in Cubase.

Okay, Shan sent me PM, so I will talk to him and work on something tonight. :)

Ahh... you're talking about *that* little friend eh?

Dunno mate. She's very special -- you'd need me ultra-super-secret-approval permission-slip ta flirt with her -- me bein the protective chap that I am...

:hihi:

On the other hand, most of the girls in my neighbourhood look at least as good as she does.
;)

lol. Well.. I promise to be careful and polite... and I'll stay the full 10000 miles away from her.

Well, no luck with trying to patch the binary: Shan made me a few custom builds to compare, but SE compresses or encodes the text strings in some sort of way to make them hard to find in the code.

Hopefully the SE builder will support config txt files in the future for storing path names!

Anyway, great sounding samples and demos. If it's only a matter of remapping a drive, it almost seems worth putting up with the limitation! :)

Is this situation still the same with the inability to have the soundbanks in a different place to the .dll?

I'm reshuffling the organisation of my DAW and just realised that the Kong Audio suite doesn't fit into the equation!

Thankfully the samples aren't huge and so it's not much of a bother to have the samples in the vst plugins folder however it would be a lot less stressful and time-wasting if one day there was an option to have the samples in a different location (i.e. my dedicated sample drive).

Anyways, this doesn't marr the greatness of the product :)

Hi spuddle,

Unfortunately, it's still the case. We understand that it can cause some inconvenience at times, but since most hosts these days can assign more than one VST folder, we thought this wouldn't be too much a trouble.

Anyhow, in the future if we can make it more flexible, we will definitely release an update for all our plugins.

Thank you for the continued support :)
