Only the idiots.

English is not my first language but i always thought that: If A is my favourite and B is not my favourite then (for me) A is superior to B and B is inferior to A.

, so IMHO AlienConnections would benefit from a new product name
Nonsense.
(more of their customers would subconsiously believe that it is not only an upgrade of a very old thing, but a completely new program).
More nonsense.
It is a basic marketing knowledge that a good product name is a name that associates in a potential customer mind with good things, sex, success, happiness.

Read some books about human mind manipulation ,social engineering and marketing and you'll understand what i'm trying to tell you.

ps.I'm talking about an average 100IQ customer.

Nope.

But I'll let you pursuade me. Name five market-leader products with names which are associated with sex, success and happiness. If I can give you alternative, just-as-successful products in each category whose names arent associated with sex, success, or happiness, then my point stands. Okay?

Ive read books on all of those things. Your premise is naive.

Ah, I see. You think you're smart, therefor you're allowed to make whatever conjectures you want about folk you consider dumber than you.

From empirical observation, at least one.

Nope, but flawed assumptions do.

Ah, I see. You dont answer the challenge, you just make a total non-sequitur; a change of subject from the product name to product advertising.

Not quite as convincing, when its like so:

Marketing is about selling products that people don't really need if you need something you will buy it without any marketing.

Probability of a succesful sale is inversely proportional to customers IQ.

Who would buy the Brooklyn Bridge from you 60IQ imbecile or 200IQ genius ?

ps. Yes i have a small superiority complex - when i was a kid i had 137IQ and when i was 25 my IQ was 119 so i am smarter than an average man.

Faulty reasoning. That requires the assumption that for any given product type that one needs, there is only one supplier. That is quite a stupid assumption.
Probability of a succesful sale is inversely proportional to customers IQ.
Prove it.

Gullibility has nothing to do with IQ scores.

You're not proving it here.

Yes i did you just can't understand that when for example the product name is: "Flying Apple" and it is advertised by a very sexy woman then when you hear "Flying Apple" you remember how sexy she looks (you basically start to associate these two words with sex) and you start to feel better and if you feel better there is a higher probability of spending your dollars on "Flying Apple" not on "Crawling Plum".

Actually I can understand. And what I understand is that you've now shifting the context to something different from the name of the product. You're now talking about branding not the product name itself, which is what you were originally talking about.

I'll repeat what you originally said, and you can remind yourself of that:
It is a basic marketing knowledge that a good product name is a name that associates in a potential customer mind with good things, sex, success, happiness.
Note that this is in direct reference to you claiming that Revalver should be renamed, so your context has zero to do with marketing or branding. Renaming a product does not build any automatic association with sex, success, or happiness.
