Ben...of course it is a bug.
Presets in Mackie plugs do not work properly. Changes are saved but not preset names.
Unless...the proper usage of the Mackie plugs including the new channel strip in T3 is when selecting a preset to not expect that preset name (if changed from the default preset) to be recalled when the project is saved, Tracktion restarted and the project is opened again. I don't understand this.
But not properly. See above. That is how it works.
Ok...but it is surely not a feature or as intended? That is not changed.
What should have been fixed for T2.1 is that some users were seeing the plug-in not show the factory presets in the drop down list.
Ben
Ben I doubt you understand what I meant when I explained this bug earlier...really.
T3 is a great upgrade, I brought this up because it is quite clear that Mackie are very responsive to user comments and suggestions. As an example Multicore support was by no means confirmed or possibly even a feature at all until it was brought up by a few users (including me) on the AES thread you started.
It was added to T3 in a very short time though, which is great. This bug however remains. Please have another look at the steps I outlined to easily reproduce this and see not just that it is the way it works Ben, but surely that it is indeed a bug
