If you hav a chance to look, would you mind listing your DFD settings for the SampleTekk piano and/or the Scarbee electric piano? And what is your Receptor smple buffer set to?Hybernation wrote:I've been beta testing K4 and OS 1.6 for the last week, and I'm happy to report it is ROCK SOLID, after getting through just a few hiccups. We are talking ALL of K4, including FM8, Absynth4 and Reaktor5 (though ElektricPiano is not the 1.5 update). Kontakt2 is the latest and the DFD works SOOOO much better than it ever has (granted some of this may be due to the larger 400GB drive I had installed, and the rev C upgrade I gave myself for Christmas). I can finally play a 13GB piano lib (SampleTekk 7CG) with 256 polyphony with NO GLITCHING and no maxing the CPU. We are talking huge Emerson piano runs with the sustain pedal down, and it's just freaking perfect. Likewise I loaded the 24-bit Scarbee KGB (Rhodes) and it's unbelievable how easy on the CPU it is now.
OS 1.6 has a couple of wrinkles to iron out, but all in all, I think everyone out there will be rewarded for their patience, especially fans of K4 and especially those who rely on Kontakt2 (which I can pretty much do an entire gig on now!)
While I have MUCH improved DFD performance with 1.6, it does not seem as flawless as you describe. I have
the orignal CPU, a 160Gig Hard drive and 2 Gigs of RAM.
Ivory, in comparison, never breaks a sweat and is completely glitch proof - pedal on and off/forearm clusters/glissandos....I can't crash it no matter how hard I try.

I hear that with the i.6 beta it's STILL not possible to install K4 and that the only solution will be to return your Receptor to Muse for installation/authorization..... if so, mine'll be in the post soon!gizmostatic wrote:oh no!Ben [KVR] wrote:I can't comment on Komplete 4 until the official announcement (next week).ksiragusa wrote:and

well the responding to transport controls is pretty cool news. Wonder if setting BPM via 'tempo tap' might be something on the horizon?

Guys, I am using 1.6 Beta of the Receptor OS but I still have issues with loading Kontakt from start most especially when it contains a piano patch. If I startup receptor with a piano patch in Kontakt2 no sound (from kontakt 2) comes out. Actually it does come out but about 1 minute later and it echoes heavily. The only remedy I have for this is to load another (receptor) patch and then re-load the patch with kontakt, this seems to fix things. But how annoying. This is still there on 1.6 Has anybody else seen this?
I am using Kontakt 2.1 as I have not seen any advice for loading Kontakt 2.2
I am also still getting random resets which seems to always wipe the settings on my axiom 49 which is connected via usb. (Another issue in itself)
Can Anybody help please?

I opened a ticket and the Muse folks sent me the info for the Kontakt 2.2.1 install. I hoping to install it tonight.

Let us know how it goes please, Im not having any problems apart from when loading up a scarbee library there is a small click at the start point of a note, this is solved by reloading the same again. Not a problem but could do with ironing out.tjodoin wrote:I opened a ticket and the Muse folks sent me the info for the Kontakt 2.2.1 install. I hoping to install it tonight.

Beautiful, Muse sent me a link to the new Kontakt 2.2.1 install, I also updated to the most recent version of 1.6 (as mine was a few revisions behind) and Hey Presto, thus the problem was no more. Coooool
This means I don't have to take ages to load and reload.
I'm sure the piano even sounded better, or maybe it was just the virtual enharmonics of victory?
Now all we need is Komplete 4...

I found out via plugorama ticket that there's a big difference between "support for Komplete 4" and actually being able to install it. A user installer for K4 was NOT part of the 1.6 update. At this point, if you want K4 installed, you can send your Receptor to them and they'll install it for $200.groovology wrote:V1.6 is primarily an "under the hood" update that facilitates some cool future updates ..., with the big news being support for Komplete 4. Sounds trivial, I know, but it definitely wasn't.
