Do someone knows how/ why when I record a MIDI sequence appears gray and I can't assign it to the synth ?
I'm recording the part, the synth sound, Mu.Lab records the input and when I play it back... NOTHING
What am I missing ?
One advantage for me would be the following. I really like Synthia and understand it's way of programming. MuSynth is a little too deep for me now and I'm more a synthesis than a sampler kind of guy. But I also like to start my programming from a preset.mutools wrote: I still didn't hear any argument why it would be an advantage to group patches per device.
I don't see any advantage. Someone?
That sounds alright to meliquidsound wrote:
Here is an additional point of view:
+Mulab Synths
+Presets (Mulab Synths Only)

The Mulab Synths could also have folders where you can select their presets by Category: Bass, Organs etc. as in the (All) Preset Folder.
In this way we have two ways of selecting Presets:
That's logical to me also and have advantages of both organizing systems.liquidsound wrote:IMO the way Jo organized the Presets is SIMPLE and SAFE.
Just imagine play around with third party plug-ins internal architecture from professional to Home made stuff..![]()
Upgrades, Deletions, Free trials, Dongles, ReWire... endless!

Thanx, apparently this was my problem.bpblog wrote:the free version of m3 is limited to a maximum of 4 active tracks. you have probably recorded midi to a track that is inactive due to this restriction. move the sequence to one of the first four tracks and it will work!
This means that those Preset in the "+Preset Folder" are Ghost or like windows shortcuts to the ones in the respectively Synth Creator Folders or ViceVersa.liquidsound wrote:The Mulab Synths could also have folders where you can select their presets by Category: Bass, Organs etc. as in the (All) Preset Folder.

By category selection (I'm looking for all the Bass preset regardless of the Synth) = +Presets folder > Category Folders > Presets
I don't think it's necessarily more common in the synthesis world.mutools wrote:So you think "Preset" is more common than "Patch"?

Thanks Calum!Calum wrote:Jomutools wrote:Practical point: We need updated buttons for the main menu, and some other places, as these buttons then need a 'down' state too. And i'm not sure if updating these graphic resources can be realized on short term.
If not, the menus-below-button thing may be put on the whishlist for later implementation.
Just let me know if there is anything I can do to help with this. My Mac packed in late December so I have been out of circulation until now (New Mac arrived this week and is is just about up and running). Almost lost all the master files for LooxPhat in the process but I finally managed to rescue them from a dying hard drive! I should be able to spare some time to work on the skin towards the end of next week if you need any input from me. Happy to give feedback on M3 as well.
To me too.Nielzie wrote:That sounds alright to meliquidsound wrote:
