The pink skin uses less CPU than png ones but I still have some issues with it. Every 5-10 seconds or so the CPU spikes to around 80% in the taskmanager. Also it rises to 95% whenever I move any gui elements, such as knobs, envelopes etc.

Is the ram usage correct? In the taskmanager it reports SM2.1 using 254mb while SM2.0 was only using about 135. It is not a problem, it just seemed a big increase.

Apart from that I do think the sounds seems better with SM2.1 and CPU usage for the actual synth is very reasonable :)

254 MB? I should investigate that!

Thanks Bulent, please let me know if you want anymore info about the GUI issues or if there are any specific tests you would like me to do. I am happy to help you sort this out :)

Also noticed that the audio glitches whenever I get these CPU spikes, even though the host's CPU meter doesn't show any CPU usage.

I finally finished the new "Delay" implementation:

So, you can distort the delay output, and in the delay feedback, there's a 2 band EQ, which allows you to set the feedbacks of 3 separate frequency bands!

As you see in the above screenshot I've also improved the frequency displays (2 Band EQ, 4 Band EQ & Filters) The displays give you the exact frequency response and also let you edit cutoffs/gains/slopes/modes, etc...

I just realized that I've been using VSTGUI 3.0 for the past 5 years, and havent upgraded to 3.6. I think I'll go for that transition before reaching beta status for 2.1. That'll be necessary anyways to start my porting work for OSX!

I know everyone is just becoming impatient, but I find it necessary to finish one last thing: 2D envelopes & the "vector" oscillators.

"vector" oscillators will be easy to implement, an extension/subclass of the "additive" oscillators.

2D envelopes, likewise: They will be an extension to the multistage envelopes.
