Which is why I called out the person who posted about Synth1.........it has never claimed to be a Roland emulation.

But I see the Xils Spam Machine has already polluted this thread so I'm out......

Do you mean the Vintage Chorus?

Looks a little Rolandish but could not find any immediate info on it.

Yes sorry I meant Vintage Chorus not classic. I don't remember if I've ever seen anything that claims it to be Rolandish...the gui kind of reminds me of Roland a bit

EDIT: Off topic but I reworked the classic Stop boxes appearance a bit........

Some ideas for those and some more:
- Juno Chorus
- Boss CE-1 Chorus
- Boss CE-2 Chorus
- Boss CE-3 Chorus
- Boss PH-2 Super Phaser
- Boss BF-2 Flanger
- Boss MT-2 Metal Zone Distortion (like mentioned in the post above)
- Boss CH-1 Super Chorus

Boss CH-1 Super Chorus = WOK PCH-1 Chorus?

or does a Boss CE-1, CE-2 or CE-3 fit better?

Now TC Works is TC Electronic and the Powercore 01 is the same in some way.

Cheers
And the Powercore hardware with the software is discontinued too...
I just kept Powercore 01 as there are still some hardware units remaining in some shops.

some info about Powercore:

http://gearjunkies.com/news_info.php?news_id=6032
http://createdigitalmusic.com/2011/01/t ... ade-offer/

As mentioned in my last post i'm not sure if i should keep PowerCore 01 and other discontinued synths in the list as soon as there is no other legal download for the free plugins. Still searching for a legal download source for EFM synths (asked already some times here...)

Just added Mercury as a SH-101 clone. Hope the will be silence about this topic soon...

I don't want this thread to be the next one which is locked like several others in the last weeks/months.

It is definitely not a sh101 clone Ingo, just look at the different osc types and differences in basic architechture. Besides, since it only exists in warez version it is questionable advertisement. Your choice though.

I added it after having a second look at both Mercury and Powercore 01 which are from the same company more or less.

The main differences in Mercury are:
- different arrangement of the controls and different color
- got a second envelope
- instead of fixed waveforms for the oscillators it got a waveform selection for OSC1 + 2 plus a mixer like in the SH-101 (in the SH-101 the mixer uses fixed waveforms)

I could not judge about the sound myself, at least not in a legal way at the moment (and usually i don't judge just based on audio demos or recordings by artists which use lots of processing...).

I agree that with this we move a bit away from "strict emulations" so at some point we could also add synths like e.g. OP-X Pro II etc. but the list could still be "cleaned" at some point, mostly with the discontinued stuff.
